Horsemanship Classes
Our program is designed to teach the student a broad range of horsemanship skills in addition to how to ride a horse.

|| The program’s goals and objectives are:

• Teach well-rounded horsemanship
• Teach caring and respect for animals
• Keep students safe
• Present students with challenging yet attainable goals
• Provide an environment where the student can build self-esteem and confidence

|| The program consists of the following:

• How to safely be around and work around a horse
• How to groom and lead a horse
• How to saddle and bridle a horse
• Proper seat position and balance
• How to control and guide a horse
• Gaits of the horse
• Pattern work

More advanced horseback activities will be taught if the student as a particular interest. This program is paced for the student’s abilities. Special interests are taken into consideration during lesson planning and goal setting.
